Crocheting lady

It's been a busy few months, but I finished a few projects!


This is a hat that I made for my niece. Then I ended up making two more for my other sweet nieces!



This is the blanket I made for my friend...there are actually two blankets because she welcomed twins!

And...we are expecting! The first photo was our announcement and the second was our gender reveal! Blue silly string = BOY!

Man-oh-day...it's been a while since I've posted on here! I have honestly found it hard to keep up with my crocheting projects during the summer months. It is just too hard to sit down in the evening to work on a blanket or hat while it is still sunny out. Oh, and throw in the fact that school starts in a week and a half and I've been working in my classroom! So, I promise - there will be updates to this blog once all of the "stuff" is taken care of! I'm working on a blanket for a baby shower at the end of the month. Well really I need two (she's having twins!) but I won't have two by the time of the shower. Then I have a few hats to start working on - lots of little babies who will need hats this fall :)

Another project

This is in the workers, but once finished it will belong to my sweet niece!

I haven't finished the Granny Square blanket yet, but she won't need it right away. She's still so tiny! This is my sweet niece cuddled up with the very first blanket I ever made! She was my inspiration to start crocheting :)

Another baby blanket

Jim's cousin is expecting her first child this summer - a baby girl! Her shower was this past weekend and I made her a blanket to match the colors of her nursery.

I'm still working on another blanket for my sister with individual Granny Squares, hopefully I can get it done before Baby Girl is too old to want a blanky!

Time-out for training

Well, my crocheting took a back seat for the past few weeks because I was training for the IronGirl 1/2 marathon. I'm pleased to announce that I saved 20 minutes off of my last 1/2 marathon time!

Now, it's time to get back to my projects! I have a baby blanket to complete for my husband's cousin and my sister has put in a request for a Granny square blanket in multiple colors :) Happy crocheting!

Perfection

Jim and I became an uncle and aunt again this past Monday - and we're so lucky that Jim's sister welcomed her 3rd child, a daughter. The best part of the story - Jim's brother had a little girl the same day last year! So, now we have two sweet little girls to celebrate on April 2nd! Who knows, maybe my sister's little girl will come June 2nd :)


Of course I had to make her a hat to wear at the hospital! I whipped this up on the drive to the hospital!
